My Quick-Service Rotation List
The cost of a WDW vacation these days has many guests making important decisions. Maybe instead of going two or more times a year it’s down to one trip a year. Maybe instead of going down for a week the trip is cut down to five days. Last but not least instead of enjoying several sit-down meals guests are opting for quick-service or snacks throughout the day.
There are many options offered to guests in terms of quick-service establishments and for our purpose today I will humbly list what I think are the top ten quick-service locations in all of Walt Disney World.
To make my quick-service rotation list a place needs to offer some variety, good quality food, and decent prices. Some of these places will strike you as restaurants and they are but they do not come under the heading of a table-service restaurant.
#10 Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Inn and Cafe (Magic Kingdom)
Pecos Bill’s seems to be ing a perfect spot in The Magic Kingdom and it’s right next to Country Bear Jamboree. It usually takes no time to get an order placed. there’s nothing fancy here but it makes the list because of it’s convenient location and it’s appear to a young family. Try the nacho bowl or the double barbecue bacon cheeseburger.
#9 Boardwalk Deli (Boardwalk)
For those guests staying at Boardwalk, Beach and Yacht Club or Swan and Dolphin this is a great option for a light snack or treat. The line moves quickly and all the offerings are cleanly displayed for your convenience. Try it for breakfast with lots of choices for bagel sandwiches and for lunch or dinner….the warm corned beef Reuben,
#8 Connections Eatery (EPCOT)
I’d probably have this higher if it weren’t for the crowd that’s always in there. Good luck finding a seat but they do have decent pizza at a decent price. It’s best to have someone in your party grab a table before going to get food.
#7 - Backlot Express (Hollywood Studios)
For Hollywood Studios I think this quick service location is perfectly placed. For some reason the turnaround for food orders is quick and the seating is comfortable. The quality of the food is good and it is very family oriented. Try the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl or the Southwest Salad.
#6 Sunshine Seasons (EPCOT)
I like the diversification of Sunshine Seasons although lately the menu has changed. These days it’s hard to recommend one offering over the others. One thing I have to say is that in all my years I have NEVER been disappointed here. What’s nice is that it is nested within a pavilion that has several attractions.
#5 Pizza al Taglio (EPCOT)
This may move up on this list in the coming years. I have visited this only in the last two years or so. It is essentially a pizza window in EPCOT in the Italy pavilion next to Via Napoli.

The offerings are plain cheese and pepperoni pizza’s and the price is reasonable for the size of the pizza slice you are given. It’s about the size of a Kindle.
#4 Pinocchio Village House (Magic Kingdom)
Another perfectly placed establishment in Magic Kingdom. It has your basic fare that appeals to all ages. It’s a good place to relax very late afternoon and early evening. Here’s a tip…use mobile ordering and try any of the flatbreads.
#3 Columbia Harbor House (Magic Kingdom)
One of the first places I ate on my first visit in 1975. It may have the best quality food of all the quick-service restaurants in the Magic Kingdom. I suggest you have one person in your party grab a table upstairs and also again go with the mobile ordering. It’s all good here however my favorite is the trio platter.
#2 Pizza Window (Boardwalk)
I can’t tell you how often I have walked by this window and thought about trying it. Well I finally did and as you can see it has made the list. For the price, and the size of the pizza, and the quality it is definitely a strong consideration when in the Boardwalk area. This is a gem for those guests staying at one of the several hotels around the Boardwalk.
#1 - Aloha Isle (Magic Kingdom)
All I need to say is two words: Dole Whip.

I would imagine with each trip this list may see some alterations. Some may go and some may come. I would like to leave you with five honorable mentions. I will note that although they are honorable mentions I would not go as far as to say they are worth making a special trip for those hidden in their respective resorts.
#5 Trail’s End (Fort Wilderness) This is the place for carnivore’s but not vegetarians.
#4 Landscape of Flavors (Art of Animation) This may be the best resort food court on the Disney property.
#3 Contempo Cafe (Contemporary) - This is a nice option for guests visiting the Magic Kingdom and want to take a break from the crowds during the day. Somewhat limited but still good quality food.
#2 Roaring Fork (Wilderness Lodge) Another place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the Magic Kingdom and its crowds.
#1 (Tie) - ABC Commissary (Hollywood Studios) and Tangerine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina (EPCOT) - These two places are interchangeable because it depends upon my mood. If I want something exotic then a Moroccan cuisine may appeal to me. If I just want a simple bite to eat in a comfortable atmosphere it’s the Commissary.
Of course we all know that this time next year both these lists are subject to change.
See you next time.

I’ve avoided the pizza anywhere in the last several years (except a group dinner at Via Napoli) - so I’m intrigued by your recommendation at the two take out windows!
There are several points on a Disney trip where I can’t decide, am kinda hungry, but don’t really need anything special - Boardwalk Pizza window is on my short list now!
